Synopsis:

The story is based on a real gossip some years ago in Korea, and focusing on the eternal, condition-less love between a naive peasant and a bereft ex-prostitute whose past is somewhere under the body of many male CLIENTs. Every love has its own silver line and every lover has his/her own attitude; But, the love between this couple is too candid to be understood but to be appreciated. As no scientific paradigm cannot define THE LOVE, this movie just illustrates what love gotta be even under extreme background.

Nevertheless, the emotion of love affair and the instinct of affection should be separated. This movie, regrettably, fails in the depiction of love itself but concentrates on the struggle for keeping his/her aficionado toward each other against all social rules and interference. Love will shine when it’s against all odds. However, these odds are too exaggerated in the movie to be overcome by love itself, otherwise making the love tattered with uncompromising and painful memories.

Director’s endeavor to gather every piece of elegiac elements is too evident, and the performances of two actor/actress are very easy going, enough to make audiences lost in the clearly “schematized” sadness.

Synopsis:

Six twenty-something characters are invited for a party by their elementary school classmate Mi-ja, who has been caring for her former teacher Ms. Park, now infirm and wheelchair-bound. The guests turn out to be a motley crew of losers and basket cases, however. Worse, each of them bears a serious grudge against Ms. Park. Sun-hee, traumatized by the teacher’s public taunting of her baby fat, has become addicted to plastic surgery and suffers from bulimia. Park Hyo-jun ruined his leg while being punished by Ms. Park and had to fold his childhood dream of becoming an ace baseball player. Se-ho and Eun-young, now a couple, are still struggling against the memories of insults and put-downs regarding their poverty. Even Myung-ho, an obvious teacher’s pet, is trying to medicate away the nightmares involving Ms. Park’s creepy “affection.” And wouldn’t you know it, she used to keep her horribly deformed child in the basement, whose current whereabouts are unknown. Synopsis:

Yu-jeong, a suicidal young woman, is introduced to a man on death row named Yun-soo by her aunt, Sister Monica. Raised by an abusive father, Yun-soo has led a hard life. Synopsis:

A beautiful movie that show the childrens perspective on a disease as cancer or tumors.

Han-yi (Park Ji-bin) and Han-byul (Seo Dae-han) are both brothers. Han-yi who is the youngest (9 years old) and also the most annoying brother does not treat his older brother (12 years old) properly and plays pranks on him. But one day, Han-byul is diagnosed with a brain tumor, undergoes brain surgery, and is hospitalized in the pediatric ward. While their mother (Bae Jong-ok) is busy taking care of Han-byul, and their father tells Han-byul to write down everything bad that Han-yi does in a red pocketbook, Han-yi is noticing he doesn’t get as much as attention as he wants from them. When Han-byul also meets another kid Wook-yi (Choi Woo-hyeok) in the ward who is also diagnosed with the same illness, Han-yi feels that he is not getting enough attention anymore as he used to, thus starts to worry…

A very emotional movie, from the perspective of a little kid that goes trough different emotions because his brother is in the hospital and he doesn’t get enough attention anymore from everyone.

The story and the cinematography are just brilliant. Even if there is a little fantasy in it, I still think it’s very nicely edited into the movie, and doesn’t bother at all.

Synopsis:
